About LECSA
We don’t just provide services—we build connections. Whether you’re navigating personal challenges, workplace stress, or barriers to opportunity.
Who We Are
Labor Education & Community Services Agency, Inc. (LECSA) is a nonprofit rooted in service and solidarity. Since 1973, we’ve supported Long Island’s working families, underserved populations, and communities in need by providing compassionate, no-cost access to counseling, education, and essential resources.
We don’t just provide services—we build connections. Whether you’re navigating personal challenges, workplace stress, or barriers to opportunity, LECSA stands beside you with meaningful, community-based support.
Our work is made possible through strong relationships with labor unions, employers, local organizations, and generous partners like the United Way of Long Island. Together, we help people find the tools and care they need to move forward.
Community at the Core
Everyone deserves access to support—regardless of status, affiliation, or income. Over time, we have established ourselves as a trusted institution where people can turn for help, guidance, and a sense of belonging.
From mental health counseling to job-readiness resources, crisis intervention to community education, we are a bridge: between people and services, workers and wellness, struggle and strength.
A Proud Labor Partner
Our roots in the labor movement run deep. Unions have always championed health, equity, and dignity for working people. We are proud to carry that mission forward. We collaborate with unions to connect members and their families to vital support systems and promote the powerful role of organized labor in building healthy communities.
